About
Despite the efforts of the Mistwreath crusades to eradicate the Obsidian Truth, there are still adherents and practitioners on Orn. These are mostly found in Wahlminster, but have been found in the other Mendarian provinces, and even the Fellfen.
The Obsidian Truth is a religion and pantheon that arose and ruled during the rule of The Ashen Empire. There are several deities related to it, with varying levels of reverance.
The Trinity
The religion can be said to have these three as its main deities. They represent and symbolize the trinities of existence.
- life, death, afterlife
- body, mind, spirit
- youth, adulthood, old age
The Ragged King
The enigmatic The Ragged King is seen as an antagonistic figure, which has to be appeased to avoid woe.
Tenets
- Strengthening all three aspects of the self. Taking care of the body, broadening the mind, and nurturing the soul.
- Delving into the mysteries of the Ethereal Plane, or the Astral Plane to know what the multiverse holds
- Incorporeality was imortant to them, and it was seen as a route to endure the inevitable decay of the body.
