About

Inwards Facing Gods are usually at the level of Minor Powers in the cosmuc scale of divine strength

These gods are entities that are beyond mortals in most ways. They grant spells to their followers, and in some cases influence affairs on the material plane - though this is regulated by some set of checks and balances said not to be fully comprehensible to a mortal mind.

Some can be traced as far back as the latter half of the first dark age (The Age of Rust), and others are as young as the start of the Ornian Renaissance, if not even younger. The nature of their ascension, or even the nature of their existence differ greatly, form some being incarnated as a physical being on the material plane, and others being a living doctrine, or pattern of behavior.

Though they are beyond conventional mortality, they are neither omnipotent nor omniscient. Meaning that most of the lives of common men and women are below the notice of these higher beings. Their attention is mainly on selected faithful and other powerful actors, and the broad picture of their portfolio as it is expressed throughout the domains they influence.

Unaffiliated Deities (or not yet implemented)

The following gods are not strongly tied to any specific pantheon, but are no less influential in the life of their adherents. The following are deities more or less connected to K'Shaal and Orn as they were around the age of the ordering.

  • Phisos - ???
  • Inlios - ???
    • Innovation and machinery
  • Aeos - God of change
    • Drives to avoid being trapped on local maximum, but may also destroy working systems in the process.
    • Madness, truth, reality manipulation, creation/destruction.
  • Ebris - A great "dragon/wyrm/snake"
    • See the Jörmungandr vestige
    • Ancient sea serpent grown old and wise in it's eons of life.
    • Thalassophobia and all that jazz
    • Revered by the Old Ornians, and is regularly found in their iconography as a snake.
      • Reinvigoration through molting ones old body, and emerging as a reborn version was a powerful symbolic act for Old Ornians.
