Description

If in doubt, consult the outline below that describes traits and dispositions often held by a given alignment.

There are levels of severity in the outlines, with the general ones being found in most walks of society, and the extremes often being motivated by a stronger conviction, like religion, philosophy, or similar.

Lawful good

General: Equal and fair treatment. Improvement of systems.
Extreme: Dogmatic. Peacekeeping.

Neutral good

General: Hopeful, optimism. Altruistic
Extreme: Selfless. Self-sacrificial.

Chaotic good

General: Personal freedom. Individualism. Benign anarchy. Live and let live.
Extreme: Anti-hero, Vigilante.

Lawful neutral

General: Principled. Rule of law. Stability. Dependable.
Extreme: Law keeping. Autocracy. Predictable.

Neutral

General: No strong conviction. Flexible. Pragmatic.
Extreme: Imposed balance. Nature red in tooth and claw.

Chaotic neutral

General: Impulsive. Internally conflicted. Aloof
Extreme: Anarchistic. Revolutionary. Deconstructive.

Lawful evil

General: "Mine before yours". Utilitarianism. Strong will rule the weak
Extreme: Tyranny. No regard for autonomy. Strong should rule the weak.

Neutral evil

General: Mafia activity. Exploitative. Vindictive.
Extreme: Indiscriminate death and destruction. Nihilism, Serial murderer.

Chaotic evil
