Using a book that grants a bonus

The exact bonuses and ways of interacting with a book can vary, but if nothing is stated, the following holds true: By consulting a book for 1 hour, the reader receives a bonus for the next 24 hours. This is usually a +2 circumstance bonus to one or more skill check related to the book's subject. If encompassing many of the same topics the bonus may not stack, despite being circumstantial, bit in these cases a reader should quickly notice that he or she is repeating similar material.
