Ranking and rating of the many taverns, inns, and pubs to be found in a given region. Indexed alphabetically in the appendix, but otherwise by location.
One section of the extended edition includes a description and instructions for playing popular games across the many taverns of Orn. It includes the following games:
- Games of chance
- Gamed of skill
- Games of endurance or other abilities (often performed in conjuntion with intoxication)
- Don't look at the chicken
Readers are encouraged to submit their own reviews and a user score is a controversial feature found in the newer editions.
Reception
Annual editions with updated scores and recommendations makes for heated debates among tavern owners. Invariably there are accusations of unfair reviews or bribery, but the clientele usually more or less agree.
Benefits
Useful for travelers when looking for a good place to eat, drink, or have a rest. Locals can often be biased in their recommendations, and Taverneer aims to give a more impartial viewpoint.
