Description
Mortimer is an imposing man with a muscular frame. He has the posture of subdued nobility. He has blonde hair, and short dark stubble.
About
Mortimer is employed by Logan McDowell to aid his his daughter Claire McDowell in her martial training.
His heritage is from a disgraced noble lineage from Brienyamar, and his assumed name of Wylde is one taken to replace his previous family name. He does not know what his parents did to justify their exile to the lowlands, but his late father insists he is better off like that, and his mother said death would befall any of their line if they were to return to the plateau.
He has his own thoughts to what caused the exile, but he holds them to hiself.
Mortimer was trained in the art of fighting by his father, but took to heart the "dishonorable" methods as the most effective. His idea was that nothing should be off the table when one's life is at stake. (See Cad)
That is not to say he is without restraint. If in a duel, he may hold his strikes for dramatic effect. His blade posed to slash at something vital, he demonstrates his dominance to either demoralize or deescalate a situation. (See Rake)
Lastly is his mastery of the arcane arts, which he mixed with his martial prowess. Most of his spells were sourced from the Royal Academy of Wizards' library in Oxfold, where he is a member. He has also been hired by many of the Society's members to train either them or their offspring in the art of fighting.
Personality
He is patient, knowing that what is obvious to him, may not be so to others, and visa versa. A natural tutor wanting others to realize their potential. He does, however, not suffer deliberate ignorance gladly, and has a poorly hidden distain for lazy people who intentionally wallow in dullness.
