Descritpion

Despite being from over a millennium ago, there are some sources describing Lorc Inirasi. She is described as diligent and orderly in her research, categorizing her notes and observations in tomes upon tomes in her study. These notes she made was freely and enthusiastically shared with other aspiring magicians.

Lorc favored young vessels when transferring bodies, as she insisted it aided her in creative approaches to problems others seemed to not grasp properly. This made it difficult for some pupils to take her seriously. Being lectured to by a child that mastered something they only partially grasped annoyed some to the point of quitting.

History

Lorc is notable for being one of the nine known Planesmiths that were responsible either directly or indirectly, in The Ordering.

She is also responsible for Inirasi's Method, that proved the possibility of small scale spatial manipulation combined with dimensional shunting. In other words the Method allowed one versed in its workings to create pocket dimensions, taking the form of something as small as bags of holding, up to small demi-planes.

Main attainment

Inirasi's Method

Lorc Inirasi developed a much more general version of Gedrim's Reflections, and proved that the mirror part of spatial manipulation was unnecessary when approached in a sufficiently abstract way.

When competently wielded, The Method could produce a wide array of effects, some of which survive to the present. Prominent among these being the "bags of holding".

The anchoring of bags like these were tied to simple objects, sequestering off "a piece of reality" when created. This is not to be confused with a teleportation effect, which would come into play later as further discoveries were made.

Care should be taken when doing so, as rapid sequestering off of too much reality in the same vicinity, may cause a destabilizing effect. This may cause structural damage as space warps, stressing inanimate materials like wood and stone to the point of failure, and warping living substances in painful ways. Being at a certain distance when triggering the sequestration is always recommended, but necessary for the most powerful investments.

Manipulations like this are not free from attention from outsiders either. Irregular and minor sequestrations are largely safe, but regular or major disturbances in reality will sooner or later open the way for "hitchhikers"

Cuun's modifications

Modifications codified by Venidem Cuun.

A sufficiently proficient planesmith (or caster in general) may supplement the sequestration by injecting some "reality" from other sources. This complicates the process slightly, but reduces the detrimental effects on the material plane greatly. The additional "reality" is usually sourced from the astral plane, which is quite safe and pliable medium to inject.
