Ancientism

Lesser "religion" that has more in common with ancestor reverance. Its adherents do whatever they can to get closer to the primordial times before the first dark age that started when the planet was rotationally locked to its sun.

Any relic from this time is naturally sought after by most technologists and historians, but Ancientists ascribe a higher value to them than most. Even trivial objects with no apparent usefulness is valued greatly.

As a religion they hold the Outward Facing Gods higher than the newer ones, but as it does not have a pantheon that seem to care about them, Ancientists are not granted any spells or domain powers.

From time to time this faith branches of into some cult of personality surrounding a leader that says he is in contact with survivors "from before time" or some such nonsense, and inevitably attracts some followers. Like clockwork they collapse when the base desires of the prophet gets the better of him, or when they cannot live up to some prediction.
