Description
History
Originally known as Yarwald Keep, this settlement was established to resist invasions.
Large portions of the keep is new constructions, but the original masonry can be seen poking through if one knows where to look.
Geography
Central city in the Yarwald forest. The Miscaton river runs close to the keep.
Culture
Reflecting the keep itself Alesward is a mix of modern Wahlminster/Mendarian culture, with undertones of the old Obsidian Truth heritage hidden under the facade.

The catacombs below the keep has mostly been renovated into cellars for storing ale, but rumor has it that there are tunnels going deeper down, and that they have yet to be charted fully.
